Welcome to my website! While I enjoy exploring different domains of computer science, my current interest is in developing my C/C++ skills to create software applications. I am also working on learning embedded systems development to get a better understanding of the low-level functionings of computers. Many of my projects are openly available on my GitHub page. Outside of programming, I enjoy spending time outside walking/biking and drawing. Madison has some excellent biking and walking trails, and I definitely recommend it for anyone who enjoys spending time outside!

I started programming through game development with Unreal Engine 5. During my time working on UE projects, I learned the basics of C++ and how to use documentation to make sense of a large software library. I then decided to move past UE to work on some rendering projects using OpenGL before learning some web dev through projects for school. While I am still working on building hardware experience, I have successfully assembled several computers and performed upgrades on laptops through my city's Repair Cafe program.
I just started college this fall, so most of my programming knowledge has come from building projects and looking at documentation. Some resources I found helpful were Stephen Ulibarri's courses for learning Unreal and Harvard's CS50w for learning the basics of web development. Some courses are good for starting out, but I think the fastest way to learn is just to go out and build something, struggle, fail, make mistakes, but come out a better programmer in the end.
